Adult B’nai Mitzvah
Your Bar/Bat Mitzvah was long ago and you need a brush up? You never had one and wish for one? Join this ongoing class and learn the Torah service, chant from the Torah, have a meaningful celebration, and rejoice in becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah again or for your first time. Prerequisite Hebrew decoding. Taught by Dorice Horenstein. Members $ 180 /Nonmembers $250 per term. 3 terms needed for graduation. Classes begin in the fall. Pirkei Pub – Men Only
Sunday, September 23 and the last Monday of every month beginning in October. Meet Rabbi Zuckerman at a local pub, have a beer, shoot some pool (or not) and discuss Pirkei Avot as it relates to today.
Women Shabbat

Women joining women as they lead the service with Knowledge, Kavanah and spirit. All women, their friends and daughters are invited.
Beginning Thursday, November 29th 7:00 pm. This course provides support and practical, “hands-on” learning in Jewish living (cooking, home observance and holidays) for newly converted Jewish women. Presented by the Jewish Outreach Institute, Led by Rabbi Arthur and Simi Zuckerman of Congregation Shaarie Torah. Free, but reservations required. Limited to 20 participants. 14-class series, meeting on alternate Thursdays at the MJCC beginning Nov. 29, 2012 (Nov 29, Dec 13, Jan 10 & 24, Feb. 7 & 21, Mar. 21, Apr. 4 & 18, May 2, 9 & 23, Jun. 6) Dates Subject to change.
