each journey is unique.

One becomes B’nai Mitzvah at an age – 12 for females, 13 for males.
One does not have a B’nai Mitzvah, rather one marks this coming-of-age milestone in community. This journey is meant to explore what it means to take on responsibility in community, specifically how to balance the needs of self with the needs of other – a journey that continues for a lifetime!

The format in which this ceremonial moment occurs is in fact quite open, and we seek to reflect your unique family and child in crafting learning goals and embarking on the journey together. We strive to center the child’s voice as well as honoring parent and family values.
