The Sharron Scales Scholarship Fund

The Sharron Scales scholarship is a fund that has been established and maintained by Shaarie Torah Sisterhood to assist with student’s financial needs to help attend a Jewish camp or other Jewish educational activity. 

The fund was set up many years ago in memory of one of our young Sisterhood members who passed away after a lengthy illness.  Sharron grew up and attended Sunday school and various youth activities at Shaarie Torah, and later became very active in the Shul and Sisterhood and had a fondness for doing whatever she could to help students. For many people it helps to place a face with a name, but as Sharon passed away before many of our congregants have joined, you may know her mother Tillie Baderman, z”l who was a lifelong and active Shaarie Torah and Sisterhood member. 

The Sisterhood would like to keep her memory going and help students with attending Jewish educational activities such as camps and learning experiences. 

The Sisterhood wants to continue Sharron’s legacy by endowing this Scholarship for future generations. If you would like to make a donation to this fund please send it to Congregation Shaarie Torah, attention: Sharron Scales Scholarship Fund.
